The first edition of the Festa del Ritorno took place in Pacentro on Saturday 22nd July 2006.
It earned a flattering success of public; since morning nearly thirty exhibitors filled Umberto I square and San Marco street with their stands of handicraft, and typical products.
The musical band “Città di Introdacqua” made glad the atmosphere, already joyous, playing its merry marches in the afternoon along the streets.
Late in the afternoon, our parish priest Don Gilberto celebrated in the open air in Piazza del Popolo.
In the evening, in the same square, a nice festival gladdened by the musics of the “Du Bott” group and Michele Avolio's “Discanto” group took place.
During the dinner Prof. Raffaele Santini commented upon Carmine Abate's book, bearing just the title “La festa del ritorno”, from which Cooperative took the idea for its manifesto.
The Rivera Pacentro Cooperative thanks everybody who participated freely in the good result of this Sagra and especially those who came back here from other countries, hoping to meet them again, together with many other friends, at our next meeting, on the third week of July 2007.
